The man’s mouth dropped open, his face going slack. After a few seconds, he turned toward the homeowner and said, “Call the police. Something is wrong with her.”
Panic surged through my beating heart and I began to take small steps backwards. It was the man who was delusional, not me. He probably had the cops in his pocket. My eyes fell to the lady and then to the vines she controlled. Wherever I was, all of the people were insane. I spun around and ran as far away from them as I could.
