Rival Magic

“I’m going to get you back for this,” she snapped at him.
“Oh, I sincerely hope so, sweetheart.” His breath kissed her neck. “But first it’s my turn.” His hand slipped beneath the skirt of her dress, rubbing across the rippled ridges of her lace panties.
She thrashed against her invisible bonds, but his magic held. She was firmly stuck. The only way out of this was to use her magic-breaking power, but she didn’t want him disoriented. She wanted him awake. She wanted him to feel her touching him. And he wasn’t letting her. He kissed up her neck, his lips trailing a line of hot fire across her sensitive flesh.
“What do you want, Sera?” he whispered into her ear, even though he knew.
She turned her head to kiss him lightly. She pulled back slowly, teasing his lower lip between her teeth, giving it a slow tug. Kai groaned. His hand slipped beneath her panties, tracing the outside of her, teasing her with promises of more. She arched against his hand, willing him to move it inside of her.
“You are a wicked man,” she said, shaking.
“What do you want, Sera?” he repeated.
She cast him a long, hungry look. Tiny beads of sweat glistened on his hard, naked chest.
“You,” she said.
He parted her legs further. Sliding down the length of her, his mouth dove under her skirt. He kissed her thigh, moving up with excruciating slowness.
“Forever?” he asked.
His lips kissed across the lacy lattice of her saturated panties. She was throbbing, her pulse pounding at her skin, pulsing between her legs. She could think of nothing but how much she wanted him.
“Yes,” she rasped. “Now, stop playing games, Kai. I want you to tear off my clothes. I want to feel you inside of me right now.”
A hard, masculine smile spread across his lips. Dark need flashed in his eyes, drowning out all else. His magic bonds dissolved. Free at last, Sera wasted no time. She reached for his belt, deliberately sliding her hand across the front of him as she unbuckled it. He stiffened, holding still while she pulled off his jeans.
“No more games, Kai.”
She looked down the length of him, completely naked. Completely hers. She tugged the dangling dress off her waist and her panties along with it.
“Just you and me,” she said.
She slid her body down his, crying out as she pulled him inside of her. She began to move, looking into his eyes—those eyes lit up with naked desire.
“I want you with me, Sera,” he said with hot urgency. “Always.”
He thrust hard, pleasure rippling across their joint bodies and magic, liquid fire raging through her like wild, cascading rapids, building every time their bodies crashed together.
“Kai, I love you. I want you to stop holding back. I want you to lose control.” She cupped her hands on his cheeks. “I want to see the look in your eyes when you come inside of me.”
“Stop it,” he hissed, his words a fierce growl. “When you talk like that, I can’t—”
She closed her lips over his, groaning as he ravaged the inside of her mouth with savage hunger. The burning fire in her raged hotter, every thrust cascading, spiraling out of control to one inevitable conclusion. Her head fell back, her breaths heavy, her mind dizzy with a desire bordering on insanity.
“Kai,” she moaned.
He moved faster, his control shattered. His hands closed around her hips, pivoting them around. Her back slammed against the wall. Plaster broke off from the surface, sprinkling down to the floor like falling snow. The wall shook again, jostling the paintings hanging there. Pleasure cut through her, spiraling and coiling, building with every thump of the wall. Kai groaned, his face twisting in ecstasy, his eyes burning with a love that overshadowed even his desire. Every taut strand in Sera snapped and she arched back, exploding in a euphoria of sweet pleasure and hard love. She sagged against him, quivering, the aftershocks of her release rippling through her, thumping in time to her heart.
His hand stroked her back softly. It lifted to her hair, sliding a few wayward strands off of her neck. He kissed her forehead.
“Did you mean what you said?” he asked as he led her to the sofa.
She snuggled up beside him. “About what?”
“About wanting to be with me forever?”
She looked back over her shoulder and kissed him, happiness filling her to the brim. “Of course I do.”
His eyes lit up. He embraced her, squeezing her tightly to him. Then he pulled a blanket over them and they fell into sleep like that, holding each other.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
One Sweet Moment
“SO, HOW DID you survive Naomi’s brownies?” Alex asked with a wicked grin.
Sera was standing with her sister in front of the display window of an athletics shop, eating deliciously unhealthy cinnamon rolls as they looked at running shoes. Alex was contemplating the blue ones.
Sera glanced back at Kai, who was with Logan a few shops over in a big, open car showing room. None of the vehicles had a price tag, which spoke droves about their intended clientele. As Kai’s eyes met Sera’s, she blushed and looked away. His magic chuckled in response.
“That good, huh?” Alex snickered.
She moved down the glass wall to glance at another shoe, this one neon green. She quickly dismissed it and settled her attention on the bright magenta one at the end. Slowly but surely, they were moving further from the guys.
“So, did you talk to Kai?”
Sera opened her purse and showed Alex her new key.
