Wicked Abyss

Page 78

She turned her head away, baring herself for him. “Do it.”
“Can’t. Not yet.” He didn’t recognize his voice. “Must—keep—control.”
Her glowing gaze locked on his horns.
“No!” Just from her look, his hips jerked between her legs. A guttural sound broke from his chest. “No.”
This dream female reached up and clutched his horns. She yanked him down to her neck.
“LILA!” He sank his fangs into her. “Uhhhhnnnn!”
He felt her scream as she came again. Her arms fell limp over her head, and her spasms rippled up and down his cock. He scented her orgasms, and knew he couldn’t resist her this time.
He snarled against his mate’s neck as her sweet pussy milked him. . . .
Ah, gods, ah fuck—
Semen erupted from him.
He released her neck, throwing back his head. The force of his ejaculation wrenched a bellow from his lungs. “COMING.” His back bowed, his wings snapping open. Shudders seized him, and his vision blurred. “LILA.”
His mind turned over. His psyche. His heart in his chest.
Euphoria. Floating.
The need to fill her overpowered him. He helplessly plunged, fucking his mate to relieve lifetimes of pressure.
“It’s so hot!” Head thrashing on the fur, she met his thrusts, sending him into a frenzy.
In burst after burst, he emptied himself into his female’s body. . . .

Muscles whipcord taut, the demon pistoned between her legs. His cataclysmic bite had forced her to come again, his body escalating her climax. Too much, too much . . .
Sensations engulfed her. His blindingly bright glyphs, the fire flaring, the intoxicating taste of his sweat-slicked skin. The stunned look in his gorgeous eyes. “Lila?”
With a last shudder, he collapsed over her. All around them, aftershocks rocked hell.
Mind-blown, she took stock of her body. No pain. Just satisfaction.
Demonish left his lips: “Gods almighty . . . never knew.” He buried his face in the hollow of her neck, his breaths heaving against her mark. But he didn’t stop lazily thrusting his still-hard cock inside her.
She smiled to feel his cum mingled with hers. As relaxation spread over her well-loved body, she wrapped her arms around him, giving him adoring kisses.
He raised his head, gazing down at her with hooded eyes. “Did I hurt you?”
“No, I’m fine. Better than. I feel thoroughly mated.”
“Even when this bite heals”—he grazed his teeth down her neck—“demons will see my mark on you forever. My claim.”
They were bonded. Optimism surged inside her. They could fix anything amiss between them—because they were one entity now.
As he slowly thrust, his chest skimmed her swollen nipples. “You belong to me. Around me. Connected to me.”
Connection. “Yes, yes.” She tilted her hips up to meet his movements.
He raised his brows. “You’re not nearly done, are you?”
“Oh, not by a league, demon.”
Lips curving, he covered her breasts with his palms. “My fey mate loves her pleasure.” Rubbing his thumbs over her nipples, he rasped, “Made me come so hard I lost my mind. Could you feel it?”
She excitedly nodded. “It was searing inside me.” The demon’s rich essence.
His eyes gleamed with triumph. “I can give you younglings now.”
Her excitement dimmed, and she gazed away. “You could have red-blooded children with a demoness.”
He pinched Lila’s chin, forcing her to face him. “At the height of my anger, I plotted to use you, then go to others for offspring.”
In a deadened tone, she said, “You can plant seed in every field—except for mine.”
“Total fidelity, wife.” Voice rising with each word, he said, “I will have sharp-tempered, sharp-eared little pups with my cherished queen, or I will have none at all!” A wave crashing outside punctuated his statement.
Cherished queen? He wanted the two of them to have kids? “Truly?”
“Your choice, Lila.”
Her heart stuttered as she breathlessly stared at him. He looked so menacing and demonic and sexy. Her core reflexively clenched him.
His shaft pulsed in reaction. “Good. I have your answer. Inform me whenever you’re ready.”
She grinned. “I will.” When light beams struck him, she said, “What a place to lose my virginity.”
“And to lose my seal.”
“So after all the pressure and fury have churned in this volcano for millennia, diamonds appear?”
“Just so.”
“Then this place is just like your life. The diamonds could be . . . your future.”
He cast her a brows-drawn look. “Yes.” With another wave of his hand, he used magic to pluck a huge diamond from the ceiling. When he offered it to her, the stone refracted the light from his glyphs, illuminating his hypnotic eyes. She saw so many things in his expression.
Hope. Need.
Love.
She raised a hand to trace a beam gliding over his face. “Can you let go of the pressure and fury and forgive the past?”
Abyssian nodded. “I can. I will.” He placed the diamond into her palm and closed her fingers over it. “My future is yours.”

FIFTY

Her demon was asleep. Lila sat up in their bed, surveying Abyssian as sea breezes and moonlight stole inside their tower. The storm from earlier had ended.
Eyes shut, he lay on his back. His face was at peace, his breaths deep and even. She’d never seen him like this.
After another bout in the cave, he’d traced her back here. Then he’d taken her once more, slowly. He’d pressed kisses to the corners of her lips, her lids, her cheeks—adoring her.
Then he’d laid his big hand over her belly, gazing at her with a question in his eyes.
She’d simply nodded.
Though she’d been ready for another round after that, he’d refused, saying, “We need to pace ourselves in the beginning. We have time.”
Now she leaned forward, ghosting her fingers just above his face, tracing his features—his stern brow, his proud nose, his lean cheeks. Those sensual lips.
This male, so different from her, was her soul’s match. He’d shown her what being treated like a queen felt like.
