Nick exploded, his cock jerking in Bryce’s tight ass. He spilled everything he had in him, wrung himself dry. Bryce pulled away and shoved Nick back onto his knees. Before Nick realized what was happening, Bryce’s dick was in his mouth again, fucking it, once, twice, and then spilling into Nick’s mouth and down his throat.
“I said I was going to feed you,” Bryce said breathlessly. “I keep my promises.”
Nick leaned forward, kissing Bryce’s softening cock, before looking up at him. “I love you.” He heard the awe in his own voice.
“You act like you just realized that.” Bryce smiled.
“No...but I still feel fucking lucky every time I say it.”
Bryce pulled Nick to his feet. “I love you, too, baby. Now, can you get my potatoes and meet me in the room? I have your jizz running down my leg. After I clean up, we can eat them naked in bed.”
It sounded like the perfect night to Nick.
CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
It was the middle of September when Bryce lay on the bed, watching Nick get ready for work. “How’s your mom doing?” Bryce asked him.
He stuck his head out of the bathroom, toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, and shrugged. “Fine.”
He knew this whole thing had to be a bigger deal to Nick than he was letting on. It was his family. Even though Bryce’s parents were still a little iffy on them, it didn’t come from homophobia or even Nick. It came from their worry about Bryce not taking his life as seriously as he should. “How does she sound when you talk to her? Is she...” He hated asking, because he didn’t really want the answer. Bryce didn’t want to cause problems for Nick and his family. “Is she coming around at all?”
He heard Nick spit, rinse his mouth, and then he walked out in a pair of jeans and nothing else. Bryce still couldn’t get over how sexy he found the man. He wanted to lick every inch of his bare chest. “Yeah...yeah, I think so. It’ll be okay. She’s my mom. When she sees what you mean to me, she’s got to come around.”
Bryce really fucking hoped so. Nick bent and kissed him. “I need to get going. I’ll see you tonight.”
Bryce watched as Nick finished getting dressed and then they said their goodbyes.
After getting ready himself, Bryce went for a ride on his bike. The whole time he couldn’t get Nick’s words out of his head...the fact that he thought she was coming around. That she had to accept it eventually because of what Bryce meant to Nick.
Bryce wasn’t sure when he made the decision, but he drove straight to his mom’s house. He wasn’t even sure what the hell he planned to do here, but Bryce got off his bike, removed his helmet and then went to the door. “Ma?” He knocked while opening the door enough to stick his head in. “You around?” They talked often, but he hadn’t seen her since the day he and Nick came to dinner.
“I’m in the kitchen!” she called back, and Bryce walked into the room. He sat at the bar while his mom stood at the sink, washing dishes. “Hey. What are you up to?” There was a slight distance in her voice. Before the past couple of months, his mom never would have sounded that way when she spoke to him.
“Coming to see you... I miss you, Ma.”
She turned to look at him with the same brown eyes that Bryce had. Only this time they were filled with something he didn’t often see from his mom: Guilt. “I’m right here, Bryce. Always. I know things have been tense between us, but you’re my son. My baby. I’ll always love you, and I’ll always be right here.”
He knew that. He did, but he still needed to hear it.
Bryce leaned forward, resting his elbows on the counter. “We went to see Nick’s mom about six weeks ago. It was right after we had dinner here. She...she said she couldn’t accept me. She loves Nick, and she won’t turn her back on him, but she can’t accept me. She told him he has to pretend I don’t exist when she talks to him. She wants to know nothing about me, because she’ll never be okay with Nick and me together.”
Bryce slid his hand to the back of his head, rubbing it, before sliding it to rest on the back of his neck.
“She said what? That woman better watch whose son she’s talking about that way!”
There was the mom he knew, the one who stuck up for her boys and believed in them no matter what.
“Is that...you don’t think I feel the same way, do you? I never meant to hurt you. If you’re serious about Nick, he’ll be a part of this family. I didn’t...” she shook her head. “I’ve been terrible. I was hurt. Angry. Maybe even pouting a little bit because I really wanted you to give me grandbabies with Christi. But Bryce, I would have come around. I already have. It wasn’t your father you got your stubbornness from.”
