Falling for My Boss

“I’m not talking Harlequin Presents, here, Eliza.” She giggled. “I’m talking full-on sexy, ‘let me go home to my husband and have him flip me over on the bed’, or ‘bend me over the desk’, in your case.”
“You need a life.” I giggled. “And a husband.”
“We both need husbands.” She giggled. “Preferably millionaires, so we don’t have to go and work our crummy jobs and can just concentrate on our crafts.”
“Yeah, when you meet a millionaire, let me know.” I laughed. “And by the way, we’ve just missed the first twenty minutes of The Bachelor.”
“This is better than The Bachelor,” Lacey said. “Dude, this is like ‘date my boss’ or something.”
“Well, not for me. Scott and I are not going to be dating. He’s an asshole.”
“Just see how it goes, Eliza. Maybe he has a good explanation.”
“For why he told me he was going out of town, or for why he told me to wear no panties to work tomorrow?”
“Well, we know the answer to the latter.” She giggled. “And that’s all that matters.”
“Yeah, I guess.” I sank back onto the couch and groaned. “I just feel so annoyed at myself for even being interested in him still. I don’t know why I can’t shake that excited feeling from my stomach. I know he just wants sex, but a part of me doesn’t care. A part of me wants to just give it to him and say to hell with it.”
“I know,” Lacey said. “But don’t do it. You know you can’t do sex without a relationship. You can tease him, but don’t go too far.”
“I know, but I’ve kinda already slept with him, Lacey. What does it matter now?” I said. “He’s already hit it.”
“I hate that term.” Lacey frowned. “So crude.”
“You’re the porno-writer.” I grinned. “Get used to it, baby. Hit it and quit it.”
“Yeah, I can see the sentence in my book now. ‘Sir James Knight hit it and quit it before he anally penetrated her the next day.’”
“Ewww,” I laughed. “Also, is that technically possible? If he hit it and quit it, how can he be returning the next day for anal? Doesn’t ‘hit it and quit it’ mean he never came back for more?”
“Ha ha, I guess you’re right.” Lacey laughed. “I guess the hitting it can be the anal.”
“Enough with the anal, already.” I groaned. “You’ve never even had anal. Why would you want to write about it?”
“I dunno.” She laughed and I could see her yawning as she lay back in the bed. “Seems more exciting than wham, bam, thank you ma’am.”
“Are you going to research?” I asked her lightly, watching her face go red. “Are you going to look for a man to show you all these things?”
“Yeah, right.” Lacey rolled her eyes as she continued to blush. For all her talk, Lacey was even more innocent than me. I knew for a fact that Lacey had never had a one-night stand and I knew for a fact that Lacey wasn’t the sort to go to work with no panties. She was truly all-talk and no action. Unlike me, I could talk the talk and walk the walk.
“I’m going to find you a good guy when you get here.”
“You can’t even find a good guy for yourself.” She laughed and I joined her, allowing the laughter to rack my body as I sank into the couch and groaned.
“Well, we’ll both find good guys,” I said. “There has to be someone that can appreciate both of us.”
“Not the same guy, please,” Lacey said. “You know I love you, but I don’t want to share the same man with you.”
“Ha ha, idiot. Of course, two separate guys. Maybe two best friends? That would be cool.”
“Yeah, that would be really cool,” she agreed. “Work on it.” Then she yawned again. “Okay, I’m going to sleep now. Call me tomorrow and give me an update.”
“Will do.”
“And don’t forget.”
“Forget what?”
“No panties.” She giggled. “He asked for it and I’m betting he’ll be shocked when he realizes that you went through with it.”
“Yeah, he’ll be shocked alright,” I said as I hung up the phone. I sat back on the couch and thought about what Lacey had said. She was correct in what she’d said. Scott had been teasing me when he’d said no panties. Teasing me and riling me up. I’d show him. I’d show him that I wasn’t a girl to be intimidated. I wasn’t going to wear panties and I was going to let him know in a way that would leave him speechless. That would teach him to play games with me. That would show him that I, Elizabeth Jeffries, was no ‘wishy-washy’ girl, as he’d put it.
Chapter Eight
Some women are born with sex appeal. They own their power over men and they flaunt it. There are some women that know that there is no barrier to turning a man on. You can be any size, any race, any religion; none of that matters when it comes to sex appeal. If you’re a confident woman and you know how to work what you’ve got, then you can turn on any man. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those women. I know that I’m attractive, but I also know I’m not Angelina Jolie or Halle Berry. I don’t wake up in the morning looking like a million bucks. I also don’t have men eating out of the palm of my hand and I’ve tried more than a couple of times to seduce unsuspecting men. It just hasn’t worked out well for me. Not in high school when I went after a guy on the football team (granted, he turned out to be gay), not in college when I tried to make out with a guy (granted, we kissed and I think it could have gone further if he hadn’t suddenly recognized me as being a student in his class- hey, I see nothing wrong with professor-student relationships) and definitely not in my post-college life – jeez, I was on a dating website going out with guys like Bubba, for heaven’s sake. So it was with trepidation that I made my way into the office with my short skirt and no panties. I was quite sure that I’d lost my mind as I walked. I could feel the cool air between my legs and there was a stirring in my stomach that told me that a part of my body thought this whole idea was tantalizing. That was the part of my body that I wanted to disown for being a kinky bitch, though secretly I loved her.
